Founded in November 1999, Sunwin Group is headquartered in the Biopharmaceutical Industry Park of Weifang’s New Hi-Tech Zone, Shandong, China. Operating as a vertically integrated technology enterprise on its 165 acre facility, Sunwin develops, manufactures, and markets pharmaceutical intermediates, and food and feed additive products. Sunwin has three main product lines: betaines, pyridine derivatives, and organic mineral chelates. The Company is one of the largest producers of betaine products in the world and exports to more than 50 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa account for >60% of Sunwin’s turnover.
The Company’s R&D facilities, including 2 Provincial and 1 City Key Laboratories, and its talented team consisting of over 40 advanced degreed staff, enable Sunwin to provide best-in-class products and technologies to serve both domestic and international customers. In 2011, Sunwin led the formation of the “Glycine and Glycine Derivatives Process Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance” between industrial partners and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to support basic and applied research. In addition, the Company has built strong collaborations with faculties at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, East China University of Science and Technology, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Nankai University, and many other well-known academic institutions to leverage their expertise for new process, product, and application development.
Sunwin has been selected to undertake and has successfully completed multiple government-sponsored projects - 3 by the central government, 3 by the provincial government, 2 by the city government. Sunwin has also received numerous awards, including “Shandong Technological Progress Award”, “National High-Tech Enterprise Award”, “Shandong Credible Enterprise Award”, “Shandong Branded Product Award”, “Shandong Famous Trademark Award”, “Shandong Innovation Pilot Enterprise Award”, and “Shandong Clean Manufacturing Enterprise Award”.
The Company has been audited by SGS and is certified as ISO9001, KOSHER, FAMI-QS, and HALAL compliant. Sunwin has attained an AA rating under the Standards of Good Conduct and its betaine products are approved by the China Feed Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, Shandong Feed Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, and other government authorities for export to the EU and other countries.
