Insulin Aspart is a fast-acting human insulin with activity similar to that of endogenous human insulin, and its onset of action is dramatically shortened to about 15 minutes and its duration is about 3-5 hours by substituting aspart amino acids for the pro amino acids at position 28 of the B-chain.
